The Internet Is Going Through a Weird Little Spiritual Collapse

You know what I’ve noticed? A lot of content creators have stopped posting or quietly taken breaks over the past couple of years. At first, I thought it was just burnout, but now I think it’s something bigger. It feels like a reset.
With how fast everything is changing online and the slow “death of the fakes” happening around influencer culture, the internet feels shaky right now. People are craving genuine energy again.
I’ve realized my content doesn’t really leave my small circle, and honestly, I think part of that is because I’m not feeding the money machine. And that’s okay. I’d rather protect my energy and create with intention. Or just put my energy into something else entirely.
The heart of social media has always been the smaller creators anyway. They influence people without constantly trying to sell you something, and that aura feels pure. Meanwhile, bigger creators often build empires off the originality and energy of smaller ones. Maybe this shift still needs more time to play out. But I do think something new is emerging, where sales are no longer the main thing driving SOCIAL PLATFORMS.
So if you’re a small creator and feel like posting in this era is like throwing your work into a black hole, guess what? You’re not alone. But maybe it’s not the end. Black holes aren’t just destruction. They’re tied to the birth of new stars, new systems, entire galaxies. Maybe that’s what this era is too. A weird in between phase before something completely new is born online.
Also… speaking of black holes, holy alien disclosure! Shit is getting wild!
